Teaching

Self-inquiry in the line of Ramana Maharshi and Papaji: notice what you take yourself to be, see that it is itself observed, and rest as the awareness in which it appears. 1, 4

In their own words

Short passages in the words of Mooji, each with its source. Where the quoted text is not in the language of this page, a translation follows and says whose it is.

  • Look from your stillness, not from your agitation. You don’t have to go even a fraction of an inch away from where you are right now to find the silence and stillness of your Being.

Vaster Than Sky, Greater Than Space · Preface, The Greatness of Being, pp. xix–xx · shop.mooji.org Recorded: Preface signed by Mooji in a book compiled from his talks; transcribed and edited by Abe Gutmann with the Sounds True and Mooji Media teams.
  • As I often say, Truth is simple, but the seeker of Truth is complex. We have been missing the obvious because we have been giving too much importance to what rises and falls inside our Being.

Vaster Than Sky, Greater Than Space · Chapter 1, Is What You See All There Is?, section The Power of Self-Inquiry, p. 6 · shop.mooji.org Recorded: From his talks, transcribed and edited by Abe Gutmann with the Sounds True and Mooji Media teams.
  • I say, however subtle the ego can come, you are subtler still! It is you who observes and recognises ego, so therefore you have the advantage.

Meeting Mooji · Answer to the question about the ego becoming more subtle (Inspired Times, issue 12, spring 2012, p. 10) · static.mooji.org Recorded: Spoken in an interview with Sharon Henshall and written down by her for Inspired Times.
