Sharon Landrith

Modern Advaita

Teaching

Silent nondual recognition and its embodiment: she distinguishes a single experience of awakening from the ongoing integration of realisation into the body and everyday life. 1, 2

Who it is for

For people looking for a body-oriented approach to nonduality and to the integration of insight.

Life and places
  • Born in 1947 in a small town in Kansas and raised in the Methodist church, she turned to Buddhist meditation and later studied with Jean Klein. 1, 2
  • She met Adyashanti at a conference in 2000, and he asked her to teach in 2003. 1
  • She lives in Crestone, Colorado, where she holds retreats with Clear Light Sangha. 2, 3

Public context
  • Her biography says that Adyashanti asked her to teach in 2003; in 2021 Open Gate Sangha, the organisation of Adyashanti's teachings, listed her among the students Adyashanti invited to share the Dharma. 1, 6, 7
  • She teaches with Clear Light Sangha through retreats, weekend intensives, satsang and private meetings (dokusan). 3, 7
